All Things

Filed under: Uncategorized — Debs @ 7:22 am

Romans 8:28 “28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

This has to be one of my most loved promises of God’s Word.  I feel that more than any other promise in His Word this has helped me to trust Him through experiences that seem utterly pointless and painful.   It allows me as a believer that the sorrows and pains and disappointments will work together for good.  The King James version says, “all things work together for good”… it does not mean they work that way on their own, or by some kind of fate.  It means that God does it… makes it all work together for good.  Paul is not saying here that all things are good, they are turned by God for good.

It is a good reminder for me today.  This is the day the Lord has made, I will be glad an rejoice in it, His joy is my strength.

  4. I’m sure everyone here will be lifting this up in prayer… One thing I know, God knows what He’s doing, is quick on mercy, and protects His children as His purposes are fulfilled. I trust Him completely.

  5. Mama and I have been married 2435 weeks. That’s just a few. Next week will be one of our most crucial weeks of our marriage. Mama will have cancer surgery on Tuesday June 1st. The prognosis is good :), but yet there are serious steps ahead including radiation treatment for 6 weeks. The Lord is our strength Deb. You know, you have seen the smile on mama’s face. She is confident in her Lord to take her through. He has given me peace and reassurance that nothing will happen that He cannot help us through. We would covet all of your prayers and we hope that all of you are trusting this mighty God with your hearts.
